Simple Truth Theatre is a company made up of recent Unitec Performing and Screen Arts graduates and from the 26th-28th of May they are bringing Toa Fraser’s 1998 Kiwi comedy 'Bare' to The Pumphouse Theatre in Takapuna.
The play sees two actors take on a whopping 24 monologues between them, rapping and riffing on body image, takeaways, films, graffiti, English literature and more. Watch as these two talented graduates slide seemlessly through a variety of infinitely relatable Kiwi characters and their relationships in the most hilarious of ways.
Simple Truth Theatres goal is to create a space of play between the actor and the audience where anything can happen so come along to our playground and enjoy a hilarious evening of streetwise lip and urban poetry with us.
Simple Truth will also be taking the show on tour around high schools in Auckland and later in the year also to schools around the North Island with public seasons occurring in both Taupo and Palmerston North.
