The Block NZ And Paul Henry Continue Strong Performances

The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys continues its strong performance, with this season reaching a larger audience every week than the previous season among all Kiwis (5+), and our target demographic of viewers aged 25-54.

The show once again outperformed its competitor My Kitchen Rules on Sunday night in its target demographic of 25-54, and 18-49, and showed a strong result on Wednesday night, winning its timeslot in the same demographics.

Matching changing viewing habits, the programme is seeing continuous growth in On-Demand viewing. Season five has performed extremely well, with 30% growth in Video On-Demand and 32% growth in live-streaming from last season. Short form extra content has gone further, with viewing up 96%.

The Paul Henry juggernaut is also continuing its success, the programme winning its timeslot in its target demographic of 25-54, and Household Shoppers with Kids, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s figures show, in terms of total audience across the programme, the former secured its closest 5+ audience margin ever, with 193,600 on Paul Henry, to 195,600 on Breakfast.

Wednesday built on this success, with a total audience on Paul Henry in 25-54 of 89,500 to 78,100 on Breakfast. 5+ audience figures showed a similar result, with 205,300 viewers tuning in at some point during Paul Henry, to 184,200 on Breakfast.
