Tony Quinn gets behind RACE4LIFE

RACE4LIFE is urging anyone wanting to hear Tony Quinn live to get in quick before tickets to its next exclusive event are sold out.

The legendary Tony Quinn, self-made man, successful businessman and owner of Hampton Downs, is speaking at a RACE4LIFE breakfast fundraiser next week and organiser Viv James says interest is high.

“Tony has just released his biography, “Zero to 60”, which fits well with RACE4LIFE,” says Viv. “His story is one of triumph against all odds, and making the most of life – something our Wish List recipients are all too familiar with. As a result, many of our supporters and sponsors have snapped up 154 tickets, and there are only four tables left!”

The RACE4LIFE breakfast event is being held at Ellerslie Event Centre on Friday 12 August.

John Graham, Managing Director of four Paper Plus stores in Auckland and event sponsor, says he’s not surprised the event has been so popular.

“Tony Quinn has spent his life working closely together with others to make businesses work. His story is very human, full of successes and failures, and that’s what life is all about. He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth and his strength, tenacity and spirit has made him who he is. In addition, he keeps a fairly low profile, so this is one of the few opportunities folks will get to meet him.”

RACE4LIFE fulfils the dreams of adult New Zealanders with life limiting illnesses. An annual event is held at Hampton Downs racetrack every year and the RACE4LIFE Wish List Service caters for palliative care patients wanting to tick something special off their bucket list.
