Shakes – Strange Tides – Out Today!

Shakes – Strange Tides – Out Today!

Kiwi indie-rockers Shakes are proud to announce the release of their sophomore EP Strange Tides – out today!

A collection of dancey rock ‘n roll tunes, the tight four-track EP is packed with the sharp lyricism and the fuzzy guitar that is becoming a trademark of the boys from the Bay of Plenty. Influenced by Brit-pop with a throwback 70s vibe, Strange Tides was produced by band member Alex Wildwood and recorded in his home studio in Mount Maunganui.

Literally shaking up Spotify, the lead single and title track Strange Tides has been featured on dozens of hit playlists including ‘Global Top 50 Viral’ ‘New Music Friday’ ‘Weekend Buzz’ and ‘Fresh Finds’, totting up over 200,00 plays and counting. The net is all over the Kiwi four-piece, with international blogs Indie Shuffle, Impose, Fresh Beats, and more all featuring the song.

The buzz keeps humming for Shakes, who will premiere the video for the single Strange Tides with British newspaper The Independent on August 22nd. Strange Tides is the second EP from Shakes, and is available now.
