Hong Kong helps CricHQ to its maiden half century

CricHQ has raised its bat in celebration of its maiden half century, with the Hong Kong Cricket Association signing on to become CricHQ’s 50th National Governing Body (NGB) customer.

CricHQ Executive Chair Mike Loftus is excited that the world’s 15th ranked One Day International team has come on board.

“To have signed up our 50th NGB is such a thrill. We’re delighted it’s Hong Kong too as there is a strong Kiwi link. Current Auckland player Mark Chapman recently scored 124 not out for Hong Kong against the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, making him one of only 10 players in history to have scored a century on ODI debut – and the only one to do it for a non-test playing country.

“CricHQ is really cementing its position as the world’s largest digital platform for cricket. Signing our 50th NGB is another extension of our market dominance. We’ve really grown over the years to be the online home for all levels of cricket around the world,” says Mr Loftus.

Hong Kong Cricket Association’s Chairman Mike Walsh says that signing on to CricHQ was an easy decision.

"The CricHQ digital platform offers end-to-end assistance, providing everything a Hong Kong Cricket player, club and fan could need or want from a competition management system.

“CricHQ will make our job administering the sport here much easier and enable our fans around the world to keep tabs on all the information about games, draws and players in an intuitive user friendly environment,” added Mr Walsh.

CricHQ has 31 staff in Wellington, with its reach extending to five other countries. India has over 70 staff, Pakistan has 1 staff member, South Africa has 2, Sri Lanka has 1 and England has 7 CricHQ employees. This all adds up to more than 110 staff members worldwide, and it’s looking to grow further.
