#NZWF16 more fun than Trump

#NZWF16 more fun than Trump

Web Fest ready to vote for NZ creators and to reject bad hair

The programme is now published, the awards are being engraved, the speakers are limbering up their vocal chords – and now we just need you. On Saturday 19 November #NZWF16 is going to be a lot more fun and a lot less expensive than a US presidential election.

Come along on Saturday 19 November to the NZ Web Fest #NZWF16 to hear from speakers including Hweiling Ow, Jaya Beach-Robertson, Justin Harwood, Lanita Ririnui-Ryan, Liam Coleman, Rowan Bettjeman and Vicki Makutu, the people behind web shows and series including Hahana, High Road , POI360, Psusy, and upcoming shows Ao-terror-oa,Rekt and These Two.

We've also got successful YouTubers Asad Naseem (PokeCollection), Caito Potatoe, Kasper Tait, Kate Manihera and Ollie Langdon in the mix, discussing the DNA of successful channels.

Looking to the future there's a session on applications for emerging tech with Lanita Ririnui-Ryan and Melanie Langlotz. There's one surprise session still to announce and there's also a screening room so you can check out every single one of the #NZWF16 awards finalists.

In the evening Brittany Clark will host the #NZWF16 awards, handing out trophies to the winners of seven categories. Finalists include some of NZ's most popular online shows of the last year or so: AFK, Auckward Love, Blade NZ, End Of Term, Engage.tv, The F Word, Jack of All Trades, K Rd Stories, Lovely Little Losers, Mahinga Kai, Pot Luck, RESET, andTwo Naked Gay Guys. Plus the Best Pilot nominees, international finalists, and the line-up for the Outstanding Vlogger award - Caito Potatoe, TheCoconetTV, Jimi Jackson, Kate Manihera, Kris Fox and Ollie Langdon.
