RNZ GfK Audience Survey Results and Online Data

RNZ Audience Data: RNZ has performed strongly in the latest GfK nationwide radio survey. RNZ is also experiencing significant growth in online audiences.

GfK Survey

The GfK survey results are the second set of nationwide results under the new research methodology that has brought together RNZ and the commercial stations into one ratings system. Results for the commercial market were released last week.

Nationwide, RNZ stations National and Concert together reach 604,400 people aged 10+ in a typical week. This is 15.1% of New Zealanders (aged 10+). Last time the audience was 600,200.

Among all stations RNZ National is still No 1 for station share nationwide - that is for total weekly radio listening in New Zealand.

RNZ is No 2 for cumulative audience (cume) after a commercial music station.

National’s weekly cume audience is 535,200 people aged 10+. It was 529,000 last time.

National’s station share is 10.5% of the total weekly radio listening in New Zealand.

Attached is the media information released by GfK at 1 pm today.

A summary of our GfK results will be published on the RNZ website www.radionz.co.nz/about/audience-research and on the GfK website: www.gfk.com/en-nz/insights/
