Whangaparaoa Equestrian Charity Celebrates Successful Year

Whangaparaoa Equestrian Charity Celebrates Successful Year

Equestrian 4 Everyone will be celebrating the end of another successful year at their annual Christmas Ribbon Day on Sunday 18th December. The charity event will host special guest Hibiscus & Bays Local Board Deputy Chair Janet Fitzgerald, along with supporters, and sponsors, and showcase the successes of pupils

This year the organisation has seen the arrival of a number of new staff, and volunteers, including Head Coach, Maria Cooper, who trained in the US equine therapeutic system, and more recently, Rebecca Iti a pre-school teacher with over 10 years experience joined the team.

The Trust Board are focusing on increasing the standards of the coaching offered, and widening the range of services, and opportunities for the community. They also have plans to ensure that their volunteers are recognised, and rewarded; like many charitable organisations volunteers are the heart of Equestrian 4 Everyone, and the Board are strongly focused on ensuring that volunteering is seen both as a fun, and worthwhile activity. One that is valued by the volunteer, as well as those they serve.

And it's not just people who have joined the organisation this year. The number of horses, and ponies owned by the charity, has also grown. Both big, and small, Equestrian 4 Everyone has added 3 new permanent equine team members to help fill demand for their services.

All are invited to join in the final day of this year, on Sunday Dec 18th, between 1 and 4pm. The new members of staff, the Trust Board, and all the horses and ponies will be there, along with clients, whanau, and supporters to enjoy a day of fun, and celebrate personal achievement.
