Lucky couple wins free wedding package to marry at Omarino Wine Park on 11th December 2016

Lucky couple Tammy and Tristen won the People's Choice award organised by Wedding Industry Network (WIN). They will marry on Sunday 11th December at Omarino Wine Park, with owners Murray and Eileen Irvine donating the venue to host their special day.

To take out the coveted prize of wedding package at Omarino Wine Park, the couple had garner the most likes and comments on the ‘People’s Choice-WIN your wedding’ Facebook contest. In poetic comedy, they told the poignant story of how they met, had twins, an accident and their desire to win their wedding. Other prizes from WIN your wedding sponsors included engagement party, rings, flowers and photography,food, and dresses with a value total of $30,000.

“We love weddings and excited to host Tammy and Tristen on their big day.” says Eileen Irvine

“The grounds are being groomed, vines all frost protected and everything is on track for a fabulous day.” Established first as a family vineyard, it all started “when we heard our daughter and her fiance finally set the date for their wedding. We are really very happy and excited to help them plan and prepare their wedding reception. After their wedding we had more weddings and functions requested as people fell in love with the wine park. From then on, we have hosted intimate ceremonies, with large and private grounds, we are very accommodating to most requests. People can bring their beloved animals, get married with horse and carts and there is even space to arrive in a chopper if the bride and groom is keen.”-Irvine explains.

Being philanthropists, Murray and Eileen Irvine recently donated $6,000 worth of Omarino Wine to a ball for Canterbury Charity Hospital Trust.
