FIRE SONG - Film screening and discussion

Thursday 15th December, 2016
6.30 - 8-30pm, Main Gallery, Pātaka Art + Museum

Written and directed by Canadian filmmaker and screenwriter Adam Garnet Jones, Fire Song is a Canadian film that magnifies the life of a young, queer First Nations man forced to choose between his community and the world beyond. Struggling to support his grief-stricken family, Shane takes the audience on an emotional and unpredictable journey on being indigenous, gay, and young.

Actor Andrew Martin (Shane) will be attending the screening and joining us for a forum discussion. This film screening and Andrew’s attendance at this event has been kindly made possible by the Canadian High Commission.
