Auckland show announced for Kid Ink & Tinie Tempah

Mai FM presents

Kid Ink & Tinie Tempah

Thursday December 15, 2016 - Robin Fernando and Paint It Gold are excited to announce a huge hip hop double bill when Los Angeles MC and Producer Kid Ink and British Rapper Tinie Tempah take over Logan Campbell Centre on March 1.

There’s absolutely nobody quite like the tattooed-from-head-to-toe impresario. Cruising past all boundaries, Kid Ink seamlessly slips from an irresistible hook into an impeccable verse, effortlessly bobbing and weaving between the club and the streets. His major-label debut, My Own Lane, invited audiences from various genres into his world.

Last Christmas, Kid Ink dropped Summer in Winter with the single ‘Promise’ (featuring Fetty Wap) spending 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, clocking up over 100 million views on YouTube. Now Kid Ink says he’s gone back to basics with his new mixtape RSS2 (Rocketshipshawty 2) which features many West Coasters and appearances from the likes of King Los and Jeremih. Kid Ink heads down under ahead of a massive European tour that’s slated to raise his reputation as an exciting live act to even greater heights.

London-based rapper Tinie Tempah is scheduled to release his third studio album Youth in January 2017. Even before its release, Youth is an album that’s packed with hits with ‘Not Letting Go’ (featuring Jess Glynne), the KDA / Katy B collab ‘Turn The Music Louder’ and ‘Girls Like’ (featuring Zara Larsson) all included. Tinie has now had as many #1s in the UK as Michael Jackson, U2, Kylie, Robbie Williams and Elton John, and is the artist with the most UK #1s this decade.
