PAW JUSTICE LAUNCHES ‘RIDE FOR JUSTICE’

Animal Welfare organisation Paw Justice has teamed up with Victory Motorcycles for their first annual ‘Ride for Justice’ event - a charity fundraising motorcycle ride to help raise awareness of animal abuse issues in New Zealand.

The Ride for Justice kicks off on Sunday 9 April 2017 at 9:00am and will be led by renowned boxer Shane Cameron with a host of other New Zealand celebrity riders taking part. The ride is open to all riders and all motorbike types are welcome.

Paw Justice are selling raffle tickets to raise money with a spectacular major prize on offer; a 2017 Victory Highball motorbike valued at $24,295. Registered riders for the day will also go in the draw to win amazing spot prizes such as $1000 Saints Clothing, a year-long supply of Burger Fuel (conditions apply) and a set of GT Radials from Carters Tyres.

Leaving from Wynyard Quarter in central Auckland, the ride will wind its way north to finish up at the majestic Puhoi Historical Pub for an afternoon of entertainment including iconic comedian Wilson Dixon, all the way from the USA, to perform his stand-up comedy set. To cap off the day, the winner of the Victory Highball motorbike will be announced.

“We are really excited to launch the Ride for Justice. Not only will it be a fantastic ride and a fun afternoon, but it is also a great way to raise awareness of animal abuse and for people to join in and support the cause. Proceeds from the event and raffle ticket sales will go towards our work with the Paw Justice Foodbank, Pet Rescue (promoting re-homing and adoption) and other education initiatives aimed at raising awareness of animal welfare issues in New Zealand. We receive no government subsidies and rely solely on the support of the public so events like this are crucial for us to continue to do the work that we do,” said Paw Justice co-founder Craig Dunn.

About Paw Justice

Paw Justice was formed in 2009 to help deal with the sickening problem of animal abuse and neglect against pets in New Zealand. Such abuse has grown at alarming rates, both in frequency and severity.

Animals are suffering and dying at the hands of callous humans who think they can get away with it. We say this must stop now.

We are pulling together every resource we can find, welcoming every supporter who believes in our cause, and working together with other like-minded New Zealanders to stop this insidious violence against innocent animals.

We want to see abuse rates dropping dramatically, serious offenders punished appropriately, children educated about respect and kindness, and companion animals all over New Zealand living comfortable and happy lives.
