For many months, students, teachers, parents and wider communities have been working relentlessly - perfecting every aspect of their performance with the common goal of creating a spectacular show for performers, volunteers, audience members and all involved.

Some of New Zealand’s premier venues will play host to this year’s shows, which are sure to provide the platform to a young person’s development in resilience, confidence building and self-esteem. Students work together by combining their creative, youthful minds to portray social messages, political messages, significant community concepts, and pure fantasy through their performances.

The 2017 Stage Challenge® also has scope for teachers to use elements for NCEA assessments in subjects such as dance, drama, woodwork, art and textiles.
