The Regent Theatre presents The 7 Sopranos, Australia’s most exciting operatic voices, in their New Zealand debut. The show at the Regent Theatre on Friday 22nd September will be one of only four shows, a spectacular treat for the South Island.

The 7 Sopranos are a highly successful ensemble of opera singers, whose combination of breath-taking voices, sophistication and talent have been wowing audiences across Australia and Asia for the past seven years. No microphones are necessary with these classically trained voices – just their pure power and vocal artistry.

Highlights for this concert include the dark and sexy Habañera from Carmen, the triumphant Toreador Song and the soaring arias and ensembles of Puccini and Verdi. Also included is a musical dedication to the voice of New Zealand, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, celebrating her artistry and astounding legacy.

The 7 Sopranos are the brainchild of acclaimed Australian opera singer Tarita Botsman, who had the idea of creating an operatic ensemble like no other – the result has kept The 7 Sopranos in high demand, collecting accolades worldwide.
