with special guest DUA LIPA

A Record-Breaking Four Auckland Shows Sell Out within One Hour

FRIDAY MAY 5, 2017 - Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour four shows at Auckland’s Spark Arena on February 27, February 28, March 2 and March 3, 2018 went on sale today with general public tickets to all shows selling out within one hour (a limited number of VIP experience packages are still available).

Mars’ two opening Auckland shows on February 27 and 28, sold out in a staggering 15 minutes.

With the third show on March 2 also selling out in 15 minutes, a fourth and final show on March 3, 2018 was added, culminating in four sold-out shows within one hour in one day.

Bruno Mars is truly 24k Magic and more - he now equals the record previously set by Beyonce in October 2013 for a solo artist performing four consecutive shows at Spark Arena (formerly known as Vector Arena), but has sold them out instantly. The Beyonce Mrs Carter World Tour was also presented by Live Nation Australasia.

Chairman of Live Nation Australasia, Michael Coppel, said: “We are truly privileged to be presenting Bruno Mars in his third visit to New Zealand. This tour has been the fastest-selling event we’ve ever presented at Spark Arena – four sell outs within an hour is a remarkable achievement!”

The ‘Uptown Funk’ superstar sold out two arenas in Auckland in 2014 – his multitude of New Zealand fans who have been begging for his return ever since have now been rewarded with what will be one of the most dynamic live shows of 2018.

Currently touring through Europe and the UK (ahead of an extensive trek across North America), London’s The Evening Standard bestowed a 5-star review on Mars’ O2 Arena shows exclaiming:

“One of the greatest showmen in pop music right now”

“Only Uptown Funk, his biggest hit to date, could polish off what was a thrilling masterclass in showmanship from a sensational performer.”

Joining Bruno Mars at all shows will be the Best New Artist NME Award winning, honey-voiced singer from London, special guest DUA LIPA.

Recently concluding her first tour of headline dates in the UK, this heralds the Hotter Than Hell singer’s first New Zealand performances, showcasing mega hit Be The One and tracks from her debut, self-titled album which drops June 2.

Featuring latest single Lost In Your Light (feat. Miguel), Dua’s debut album announces the arrival of a new force in pop - irresistible on the dance floor, thoughtful under closer inspection, constantly discovering creative possibilities.
