Ruby Ruin is proud to bring you "Tease on Tour"; a spectacular night of burlesque, dazzling dance & comedy. Showcasing the talents of our fabulous guest performers as well as local dancers, the show encompasses a wide variety of burlesque styles for a fantastic and little bit outrageous evening of glamour and frivolity.
In 2014 Ruby Ruin moved from Christchurch to Timaru and bought the sparkly world of burlesque with her, since then she has run classes teaching Timaru ladies about the art of the tease and gaining confidence in themselves. 2015 saw the first Timaru Tease show at The Playhouse Theatre which was a total sell out, 2016 saw the show expanding to include Ashburton as well with huge success. During the past 9 months Ruby has had to stop teaching classes after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which has had a huge impact on the day to day ability to live life, she has been able to learn to manage aspects of her condition by working with a nutritionist to eliminate problematic foods as well as working on other aspects such as stress control which included switching to part time work. Due to popular demand from both audiences and the Timaru dancing ladies Timaru & Ashburton Tease is back as "Tease on Tour", the show is set to spread its wings in 2018 visiting towns and cities across New Zealand.
