London 5 Studios Welcomes Musical Prodigy Joshua Grant - 9 Yr Old Drummer with Many Beats Has Captured a Leading Role in the New British And American Television Musical Comedy “Little Melanie Live” - Inspired by Spice Girl Mel B. Melanie Brown.

Executive Producer and creator Melanie Greene states: “Children need a positive hero - a mentor they can aspire to. Melanie Brown is the inspiration behind our main character LITTLE MELANIE. All of our episodes and stories have been carefully written and crafted.” Today we welcome 9yr old drummer Joshua Grant from America to London 5 Studios, he captured the part and our hearts.

London, England, 30 JULY - ......The lights dim and the audience stills, waiting expectantly.

A faint click of sticks and the air is rent with an electric beat. The drum beat thrums through the audience who are unable to prevent themselves dancing along.

Who is this incredible drummer? Joshua Grant is just 9 years old and has already wowed audiences throughout the world.

Jazz Legend Harry Connick Jr, says, "Josh Grant is a unique and very talented young drummer." Harry grew up in New Orleans playing Jazz music at the age of six. All of the different musicians along the way who mentored him throughout his career, he has never forgotten them. Harry invited six young musicians from across the country to learn from the very best in the business - his guys in his band.

Joshua, the drummer, led the band's jam session in every beat. This experience was legendary for the 9 year old musical genius, - Josh G.

One of the nation's biggest daytime musical shows - jammin' with Harry Connick Jr on The Harry Show. Joshua's memories are everlasting, indeed a new mentorship.

The gifted drummer, who has a photographic memory and a natural ear for music. At a recent music event, the Asbury Music Foundation, Joshua played four songs, including one of the Isley Brother’s greatest hits - Who’s That Lady? Joshua also plays in the band at his church and as a guest in other churches throughout the states.

At just 9 years old, Joshua is a bundle of fun and vibrant energy - joy fizzes out of him like electricity when he feels good. He is energetic and sporty, finding it virtually impossible to not be playing his drums.

Today, Joshua has captured a leading role in a very exciting television series. He will play Aden in the new musical comedy television show, Little Melanie: Live!, filmed in England and America ( London and Washington, D.C.)

Little Melanie-Live! is a new, entertaining and exciting musical comedy television series. Featuring Little Melanie (who was inspired by Scary Spice Mel B, Melanie Brown), the series follows the adventures of a ten year old child prodigy who is passionate about music. She and her band Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice (who are all inspired by top musical stars - Adele (Addy), Lady Gaga (Emma), Katie Perry (Gigi), Alicia Keys (Sasha), Kandace Springs (Little Kadie) and Vanessa Williams (Leeza Blue). Each character is the childlike version of the person who inspired them.

The band and forever friends share countless wonderful adventures as they travel the world, performing with all of their heroes and becoming a firm favourite with the Royal family. Each story within this series emphasises the inherent message of love, compassion, family, loyalty and the knowledge that the DREAM IS EVERYTHING! Anyone can achieve their dreams.

Little Melanie also features in her own series of over 100 fully written and beautifully illustrated children’s books. Each follows the characters on amazing journeys as the band experience life at school and as performers on the Ant and Dec Show ( BIG hit show in London) where they are hugely popular.

Just like Joshua, Aden has a friendly, outgoing personality and a few minutes in his presence makes people feel they have been plugged into an electricity source! His warm and compassionate nature ensures that he is friends with everybody - including Little Melanie herself. A friend of both Bobby and Little Melanie, Joshua/ Aden will find himself thrust into the limelight when he occasionally plays alongside character Addy on the drums during some of their concerts in the television episodes.

London 5 Studios and Executive Producer Melanie G welcomes little Joshua who will star as the character Aden. “He is a natural and we feel its lovely to have him aboard and abroad.”

Three time Emmy winner Producer, Dante James, states: “Having the little musical genius with us here on set will give children all over the world a direct message from our series: “The Dream is Everything.” I will proudly mentor Josh!
