4 September 2017

For Immediate Release

The Beauty, The Brawn, And The Minister Come Together For Geneva’s Disability Spring Ball

It will be a night of vibrant tropical colours, music, and dancing when ‘the Beauty’, ‘the Brawn’, and the Minister come together for this year’s Geneva Healthcare Tropicana Spring Ball for Clients with disabilities, in partnership with Mercury.

Geneva’s Clients will enjoy an evening of Tropicana festivities with New Zealand boxing legend, David Tua; Miss International New Zealand 2017 beauty queen, Michelle Isemonger; Minister of Health, Hon Dr Jonathan Coleman; their families, support team, and management from Geneva and partner organisations.

Geneva provides persons with disabilities rehabilitation services and a caring home environment at our 25 Community Living Residences across Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, and Tauranga. The annual Spring Ball is just one of the many ways that our Clients live their best lives.

Clients and guests will be treated to musical performances from Geneva’s Ukulele band and Geneva Elevator’s music therapy Client Choir. Other highlights will include a couple of surprise numbers and awards presented to distinguished Clients and Support Workers by Hon Dr Jonathan Coleman and representatives from Mercury, Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand, and Vodafone.

This year’s annual Spring Ball is a great partnership between Geneva and other organisations who are coming together to make the event possible - Mercury, Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand, Vodafone, ASB, Buddle Findlay, Endeavour, Ray White, SecureCom, and Trade Me.

The night of Tropicana fun will be a celebration of life, hope, and all the exciting possibilities that await the residents of Geneva’s Community Living Homes and Geneva Elevator Clients.
