The Alliance Française French Film Festival Announces 2018 Dates and Venues


The Alliance Française French Film Festival will return to New Zealand screens from 1 March – 18 April 2018, inviting audiences to experience one language and a world of emotions.

Following the success of the 2017 Festival, the 2018 event will feature over 30 of the finest films from France and French-speaking regions. As New Zealand’s premier event celebrating French culture, the 2018 Alliance Française French Film Festival will continue to bring scintillating French cinema to an audience spanning 13 cities around the country.

Launching on 1 March in Auckland at Rialto Cinemas Newmarket, the 2018 Festival will screen at its new Christchurch home Hoyts Riccarton before continuing to Wellington, New Plymouth, Nelson, Timaru, Tauranga, Havelock North, Dunedin, Hamilton, Arrowtown and Palmerston North. An additional ‘best of’ mini-programme will screen in Akaroa from Friday 6 – Sunday 8 and Friday 13 – Sunday 15 April.
