The AM Show Returns with a Strong Ratings Performance Rova Celebrates Its First Birthday

The AM Show has kicked off 2018 with a strong ratings performance, achieving an average 1.6 rating and 32.4% share for the week in the key 25-54 demographic, winning its timeslot on Monday and Thursday morning.

House Rules was another consistent ratings winner for Three, winning its timeslot on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evening in the 25-54 demographic with an average 6.4 rating and 25% share. This week will be even bigger for House Rules as the remaining teams get set for Wednesday’s grand final at 7.30pm.

One-off documentary I Am Heath Ledger won its timeslot on Monday evening with a 5.1 rating and 25.4% share in the 25-54 demographic, followed by Newshub Late which also won its timeslot with a 16.9% share of audience in the same demographic.

Summer movies continue to be a hit with Kiwi viewers as Thursday’s action movie Hanna won its timeslot with a 4.4 rating and 20.3% share in the 25-54 demographic, and Sunday blockbuster Identity Thief also winning in the same demographic with a 4.2 rating and 17.1% share of audience.

It was a huge week for MediaWorks Radio as digital streaming app rova turned one! Since its launch, rova has grown exponentially with 78,000 unique monthly users and 11 million streams served. To celebrate, rova are releasing the first ever rovacast commentating on the 2018 HSBC New Zealand Sevens. Streaming all Sevens weekend long, the rovacast will feature a range of commentators from sports funnyman James McOnie, to The Edge Breakfast’s Dom, Meg & Randell talking about the action on and off the field.

MediaWorks has also announced that Port FM will join the family from 01 April 2018, and transition into More FM shortly afterwards. The move strengthens MediaWorks’ commitment to local radio and extends More FM’s reach into new markets across South Canterbury and Otago.
