WE BRING THE FUNK

Legendary bassist Dewayne Pate teams up with saxophonist Dave Wilson, Dr Rodger Fox and the New Zealand School of Music Big Band for a concert that will blow your socks off!

Dewayne Pate (USA) currently tours with Tower of Power, and works with a wide array of artists including Robben Ford, Arturo Sandoval, Chris Cain and Huey Lewis & The News.

Dave Wilson (USA) is a lecturer at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington and has performed and recorded extensively in Los Angeles. His collaborators have included Curt Smith (Tears for Fears), Dave Stewart (Eurhythmics), Engelbert Humperdinck.

NZSM Big Band – Tui award winning big band and New Zealand leading University big band.

An exciting night of funk and big band R&B featuring tunes from Miles Davis (Tutu), Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Buddy Rich and Tower of Power.

Monday March 26 – 8.00pm (Free admission)
