Rd 4 SAS Fox Memorial Premiership preview

Staring down the barrel of a winless opening month of the SAS Fox Memorial Premiership, Papakura head away to face Northcote this Saturday, desperate for the two competition points.

After being denied by a last-minute field goal last week in an 11-10 defeat to Pt Chevalier, Papakura play a Tigers side who sit on a one win, two loss record heading into Round 4.

The clash will serve as the feature match of the Auckland Rugby League’s first livestream double-header day for 2018, with Crown Lift Trucks Sharman Cup sides Ponsonby and Manurewa to play the curtain-raiser.

Coverage of the main game starts at 2pm, with the match kicking off at 2.30pm. Click here to watch.

In central Auckland, the unbeaten Mt Albert Lions and Howick Hornets meet at Fowlds Park, in a re-match of last year’s minor semi-final won by Howick.

Newly-promoted Otahuhu will face their biggest test since returning to the first division, taking on the undefeated Pt Chevalier Pirates, while the Richmond Bulldogs go searching for their first win of the year against Mangere East in Grey Lynn.

Glenora host the Marist Saints to complete the round.
