Even though this tune from BCC is light hearted and bohemian with a youthful vibe, the message is universal, intelligent and deep. The beauty is that their music carries this juxtaposition effortlessly, and once you have watched their videos and seen them live you will want to join them on their worldly adventures and be part of their collective journey.

With a mix of funk, roots and dance-floor groove laced with touches of folk, their music just makes you

feel good.

“Wake Up To The Sound” will lift your soul on the first spin.

BCC is fronted by Dan White, a powerful vocalist and artisan of the guitar. Part of the Collective toured Aotearoa in 2017/2018 in support of their second documentary, and as a band have cracked over 200 shows in Australia over the past 2 years, including supports for Sola Rosa, The Cat Empire, Sticky Fingers and more. They will be returning to Aotearoa January 2019 with their horn section and the full 6-piece band to light up our most loved festivals and surf spots.

“Wake Up To The Sound” is the title track from their upcoming 4th album, which is due for release in August 2018 along with an accompanying feature film exploring the nature of sound, both of which will be backed up by another extensive Australian tour before the Collective return to Kiwi shores.

Blue Child Collective has a worldwide goal to encourage positive change and bring people together through their music, and are fast becoming a major catalyst for this movement as ambassadors for the #cultureofconnection.

“Music can provide opportunities to become aware of the role that sound plays in our lives; how we become what we think, speak and sing; how the universe is essentially made up of energy vibrating - which is sound - and how this all can be shared through song each and every day”.
