Life: Darkness & Light

Life: Darkness & Light.

Inspired by real-life personal accounts in his life, author P Harrison (born February 7th , 1991 in Gisborne, New Zealand), tells a raw, brutally honest story about the negatives in his life, as well as its positives, merging & relating both the darkness of life and its light to create an acceptance, understanding, and balance to ones self, as well as all other things in existence.

Life: Darkness & Light, is one of those books that has a very mental, spiritual and emotional impact! It brings forward the many feelings, views and thoughts that we humans are either too "stubborn to admit, or have trouble bringing forward to both others and ourselves.

What separates this book from all others, is the way that the author has explained everything, detailing the many hidden agendas of nearly everything in our world, from love and wild life, right down to religion and history in such an intense, raw, some what offensive, yet honest and open way! This book expresses the side of things we humans tend to keep deep down inside of ourselves, as well as the side of us we tend to show to the world, or what Mr Harrison calls The Mask.

However, this is not to say that the views, thoughts and feelings of the author are all brutal, raw & offensive (though it literally seems so!!

Half way through the book, the author then takes a more calm, positive approach in his speech as well as his expressions & explanations, toning down the intensity and rawness of the book and its over all outcome!

In the end, the author is simply stating his OWN thoughts, feelings and views about life.

Through this, he teaches you to see, feel and think for yourself, no matter what criticism you may receive and no matter how 'crazy you seem to yourself & the world! At the age of 18, the author, P Harrison, was diagnosed with the following:

• Schizophrenia

• Schizotypal

• Bipolar

• Psychosis

• Schizo-psychosis

Due to these so called illnesses, Harrison was never taken seriously by anyone due to these diagnosesis being labeled as mental illnesses. P Harrison refused to let himself be discriminated against!! Instead, he says Im not mentally ill, I just happen to look at things another way. Thats all!. These comments that Harrison made were backed and supported by two of his many social workers.

Mr Harrison claims that these illnesses came about due to the many downs in his life as he grew up.

I was always thrown in the deep end as a child as well as in my teen years. I wasnt the type of person that others liked, all because I was different to them'. However, being thrown in the deep end made me see the full detailed picture of the events I faced in life.

I am able to feel things in life an easy 100 times more deeper than most, and becase of this, I am able to think of those situations in high detail and I am able to see a whole picture of each of lifes occurences. This is what causes me to bring an understanding, acceptence and balance towards everything I face in life as well as life itself. Every word that Harrison writes in his books, come from Harrison putting himself into the physical, mental, spirital and emotional field of the topics he chooses to write about & explore.

I can never write about something that I have no personal experience in. After all, your not going to dictate and write about the business world if you have never been there yourself, are you?!.

Yes, P Harrison does have a somewhat unusual & uncomfortable' way of writing books and explaining things, but he believes that you should never hold back on what you truly think, what you truly see, and how you truly feel. These laws bring Harrison his own, unique style of writing. A style of which can not be found these days.

This is what brought the style of Life: Darkness & Light into play. Harrison simply but riskly put himself as a person into this published work. This is what makes this book so raw, brutal, and honest.

"The reason I wrote this book is simple. The world and humanity have had enough crap. Were sick of the lies, doubts, judgement, and all other things that hold us back from our true potential in life. If we can learn to accept and understand each situation we face in life, then it will become easier for us humans to balance everything we are a part of, as well as ourselves.

Life: Darkness & Light, will be avaible July 7th, 2018 worldwide.
