Award Winning Breakfast Show Launching into Southland

17 August 2018 – The Hits has announced Dunedin’s number one breakfast show*, Callum & P, is expanding into Southland from Monday, August 20. The Hits is NZME’s station for Kiwi families featuring some of New Zealand’s most loved stars and trusted shows.

Callum Procter and Patrina Roche have been on-air in Dunedin for almost nine years. Their infectious sense of humour and on-air chemistry has seen them nominated as finalists at the Radio Awards for Best Music Breakfast Show – Single Market for the last seven years. The pair are replacing Liv Cochrane who is going on maternity leave.

Lee Piper, Head of South Island Regional Markets for NZME, says Callum and P are a natural fit for Southland. “Calllum and P is the number one Breakfast show in Dunedin* so we can’t wait to introduce them to Southland. The duo have been looking for a new challenge and are excited to get started.”

P is excited to start connecting with Southlanders. “Growing up in Gore and working at Hokonui Gold earlier in my career, Southland has always had a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to spend more time chatting with everyone from Oamaru down to Bluff, and hopefully it means I can catch more Steel games!”

Her co-host Callum couldn’t agree more. “We are so excited to have a whole new bunch of people to spend the morning with. Even better, people that share our passion for the Highlanders and Southern Steel!”

Adding to the refreshed line up will be the debut of Invercargill’s favourite musician, Jason Kerrison, who will be hosting an hour-long show each weekday morning. He will take over the airwaves at 9am-10am with The Jason Kerrison Show from Monday 20 August.
