Ban 1080 Hikoi reaches the Southern North Island Beaches
Hunters of New Zealand congratulate Emile Leaf and Alan Gurden for an awe-inspiring effort to walk from Cape Reinga and Bluff in an effort to bring public awareness of the insidious carpet bombing of poison all over our countryside cruelly killing our wild foods.
As a result of their outstanding feat thousands of people New Zealand wide are now aware of the inhumane cruelty inflicted on animals and the indiscriminate use of one of the worlds most toxic poisons into their water supply by their government.
Inspired by Emile and Alan's dedication to this Hikoi several thousand people converged on Wellington from all over New Zealand to march on Parliament last Saturday where not one member of parliament bothered to attend.
Alan
Simmons of the FishnHunt forum where 9000 hunters call home
commented "that he could not understand how members of the
Green party could belong to a party who are the architects
of poisoning our food basket. Surely that would bother true
Green supporters.
Alan Simmons said "that many people
in the countryside rely on wild foods to feed their families
and they are being driven to supermarkets because of this
carpet bombing sanctioned by the Greens".
Emile leaf and Alan Gurden are true New Zealand heroes who have unselfishly shown the way and lead from the front. Emile walked most of the walk in bare feet and in a kilt and was championed from one end of the country to the other.
