TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT: MOVE D & ERIS DREW

We are absolutely pumped, and a little bit overwhelmed, to announced the debut New Zealand show for German electronic music pioneer & DJ extraordinaire MOVE D, alongside Chicago DJ of the Motherbeat, ERIS DREW for a two room rave extravaganza at WHAMMY BAR on November 23rd.

There isn’t much David Moufang aka MOVE D hasn’t done in his nearly 3-decade long career; staying constantly relevant and ahead of the game being the least of them. From his early ambient & electronic excursions with pioneering new age composer Pete Namlook, to the modern day legend of improvised hardware live sets as Magic Mountain High with Juju & Jordash through to the classic house & disco sounds in the studio, and more notably in the DJ Booth as MOVE D, have seen him remain as one of the most sought after and highly respected DJ’s in the world, with consistent appearances in just about any Best of lists you could find...

ERIS DREW has had a meteoric 18 months, going from the relatively unknown (outside America) resident DJ - hand-picked by The Black Madonna - of Chicago’s legendary Smart Bar, to touring Europe and playing revered spots such as Panorama Bar, De School and more. A DJ, musician and trans mystic, known for intensely euphoric sets and pin-point technical ability her approach to dance music is a well needed breath of fresh air. Also investing time into educating via lectures on electronic music history, focusing on marginalized voices and working as a mentor for aspiring DJs, Eris is one of those DJ’s who will change your life. Hosted by local womxn DJ collective Lushelection’s Run With The Wolves club night, we can’t wait for Eris to bring the Motherbeat to Auckland for the first time.
