April 13-14 ARL Premiership previews

Northcote get their first chance to exact revenge on Howick this Saturday, after the Hornets eliminated them from last year's SAS Fox Memorial Premiership semi-finals with a dramatic late victory.

The Tigers were 40-18 winners in round one, with prolific winger James Waterson running in four tries, while Howick got past Richmond 22-12 at Paparoa Park.

Opening-week winners Mangere East and Mt Albert meet at Walter Massey Park, while down the road at Bert Henham Park Otahuhu host the Glenora Bears, who were impressive in a first-up 30-18 victory over Pt Chevalier, which saw them win the Stormont Shield champion of champions trophy.

The Pirates head away to play Papakura, Richmond host Bay Roskill and Manurewa and Marist both go searching for their first win of the season at Mountfort Park.
