Will Martin announces new Album and Les Miserables role

Acclaimed recording artist and entertainer Will Martin today announces the release of a brand-new album, ‘BY REQUEST’ -- spectacularly featuring the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Produced in Europe, BY REQUEST is a dazzling compilation of songs chosen by Will’s supporters, including the cinematic reimagining of smash-hits like Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, Rod Stewart’s ‘Sailing’, Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ as well as ‘Requiem For A Soldier’ (the theme from Steven Spielberg’s ‘Band Of Brothers’).

Will performed ‘Requiem For A Soldier’ at last year’s Armistice Day Centenary Commemoration Service – his performance so moving that he has been invited back to perform at the dawn and civic services on ANZAC Day next week. The album recording of ‘Requiem For A Soldier’ has been officially endorsed by the Royal New Zealand RSA as well as the Fields of Remembrance Trust.

In addition to this, Will, who became the youngest man in history to top the UK classical charts in United Kingdom with his debut album A NEW WORLD, is also announced to play Marius in the premiere season of Les Miserables in Auckland in November. He will join an all-star cast in this production.

By no means a strictly classical singer, Will is renowned for his engaging performance style, alluring personality, and expressive voice across multiple musical genres. Live performances have included world-renowned stages and festivals from London’s Royal Albert Hall, Henley, and Hampton Court Palace, through to the Basel Military Tattoo in Switzerland.

He is a regular performer at the world’s most prestigious governmental ceremonies and international sportingevents, at such illustrious venues as Westminster Abbey, Wembley Stadium, and Chicago’s Soldier Field.

Closer to home, Will has enjoyed being the New Zealand Rugby Union’s national anthem singer of choice for 10 All Blacks’ test matches.

Will is currently based in Los Angeles but always calls NZ home. He is internationally sought after as an entertainer and vocalist, as well as producer for various creative projects.
