See Breakfast at Tiffany’s on its 50th Anniversary in support of Breast Cancer

Beauty brand Dove’s annual fundraising initiative ‘Dove Pink at the Pictures’ will be screening Breakfast at Tiffany’s in support of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. The simultaneous, nationwide screening of the film, celebrating its 50th Anniversary this October, aims to raise $100,000 to aid breast cancer research.

The iconic film will be playing on the big screen Wednesday October 26th at cinemas in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Lower Hutt, Dunedin, Tauranga and Christchurch.

Tickets to see Breakfast at Tiffany’s at Dove Pink at the Pictures are $20 per person, with the full ticket price donated to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets are available for online purchasing through Event Cinemas. For those residing outside of the designated cinema locations, at home DVD packs are available for a donation of $20 through More FM.

Sharon Parker, Unilever Marketing Director, says, “With just one week to go until our event kicks off, we want to encourage people right around New Zealand to head along to Dove Pink at the Pictures, enjoy the 50th anniversary of Breakfast at Tiffany’s and show their support in the fight against breast cancer.”

Evangelia Henderson, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, says, “Each year, more than 2,700 New Zealand women are diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 600 women tragically die from the disease. Events like Dove Pink at the Pictures are crucial to helping us raise the funds we need. ”
