And I'm itching to announce our big hitter headline announcement!" says Public Relations and Sponsorship Manager Natalie Blucher.

The competition was launched on 7th November 2011 via USU Students' Association's Facebook page. Participants were asked to simply to enter a 3-6 minute YouTube video of their band or performance that was displayed on the Artist Search "Watch Videos" tab. The top five video entries that gained the highest number of "likes" before the closing date (7pm on 11 December 2011) went through to the final. The panel of industry professional judges: A & R Universal Music consultant Josh Peterson, Sounds in the Sun Events Manager Adam Basham and Clint from The Edge then rated each finalist out of 10.
