Local board presents Movies in Upper Harbour
Upper Harbour Local Board invites you to two outdoor movie events in March.
Bring a bean bag and a blanket to Albany Lakes Civic Park on Friday 8 March 2013 to enjoy School of Rock, starring Jack Black. Bands from local schools are performing on stage from 6pm, followed by the movie at 8pm.
Upper Harbour Local Board requested a youth-focussed event and movie, where local bands could showcase their talent.
On 23 March 2013, you are invited to a screening of The Three Stooges at Wainoni Park North, Greenhithe. Children’s activities, including face painting and a bouncy castle, start from 6pm, followed by the movie at 8pm.
Gourmet food stalls will be available for snacks at both events, or alternatively you can bring a picnic. Both events are alcohol free.
Upper Harbour Local Board chairperson Margaret Miles hopes residents will take the opportunity to enjoy a free event in their neighbourhoods.
“Movies in our local reserves are a great way for residents to enjoy our recreational spaces with family and friends,” she says.
“We are proud to be able to fund these two movie events which will be fun for the whole family.”
These community events are funded by Upper Harbour Local Board.
