Weird Together, Dan Aux & Donell Lewis New Singles Out Today!

Seeing NZ Music Month off with a bang, Frequency Media Group artists Weird Together, Donell Lewis and Dan Aux are all dropping new singles today, with Dan Aux celebrating his release with a party at 1885 tonight.

The studio and live collaborative music project from NZ producer/DJ Dick Johnson and George FM Breakfast and Making Tracks’ host Nick Dwyer, Weird Together’s debut single ‘Chale’ is the first taster of their unique take on world music.

Weird Togethercelebrates the pairs’ shared love of exotic global sounds, showcasing their vibrancy while giving them a massive club overhaul, engineering big-room dance music fit for thefestival stage.

The debut single ‘Chale’ was recorded in Auckland’s Red Bull Studio, and includes the vocal talents of Ghana native Yaw Boateng (ZohZoh) alongside Burundian drums, Sudanese vocalists, Fijian Lali players, and Japanese Taiko Drummers, just to name a few. The track has already been mixed by new wave duo Kids of 88.

Fellow George FM DJ Dan Aux is back with his second single,‘All Day’ featuring MC Imagine This and Gemma Copas (of former Fast Crew fame).

The second track off his forth-coming debut album ‘The Playlist’ – which is set for release later this year - ‘All Day’ shows another dimension to Dan Aux’s output. Bringing more grime with Image This’ rhymes, compared to the summer vibes of his debut single ‘Feeling So Good’, Dan Aux keeps his approach fresh but always party conscious.

The smooth stylings of DNK’s Donell Lewis are again evident in his sweetheart new single ‘If It Ain’t With You’. The charming love song will have the girls swooning to Donell’s heartfelt crooning and begs comparison to international stars such as Bruno Mars.
