Queens of the Stone Age...like Clockwork out Today

On the back of the release of their new album ...Like Clockwork, Queens of the Stone Age plaster the cover of Rip It Up magazine.

...Like Clockwork is finally ready to be gobbled up by fans after being roused by an amazing series of animations created by UK artist Boneface & animator Liam Brazier that previewed album tracks- now available to watch as one whole 15 minute short film HERE.
Last Friday (NZ time) Queens of the Stone Age played all songs from the album and a set of their best loved singles in a very generous 2 hour set live streamed around the globe from The Wiltern in L.A.
Scott Kara from the NZ Herald managed to grab Josh Homme for a chat prior to the release which you can read HERE

.... Like Clockwork was produced by Joshua Homme and QOTSA, recorded by Mark Rankin with additional engineering by Justin Smith, at Josh's studio, Pink Duck, in Burbank, California.

After a very special exclusive gig in Berlin, Des Sampson (pictured) met with Matt Berninger for Rip It Up to discuss inspirations behind their latest album, including jamming with Neil FInn on their last NZ visit:
It’d also be good to catch up with Neil Finn, because last time we were there we went to his studio, in downtown Auckland, and jammed together, which was a lot of fun,” Berninger recalls, referring to Finn’s Roundhead Studios. “Some of the ideas for this album began percolating while we were there...”

Four years have passed since their 4AD debut, the excellent My Maudlin Career, Camera Obscura return with their fifth studio album, Desire Lines. the band headed to Portland to record with Tucker Martine (R.E.M., Spoon, My Morning Jacket) and the result is a more expansive record that's sure to please fans new and old.
