Fancy yourself as the Face of the New Zealand Festival?

The New Zealand Festival, in association with TV3, has just launched their search for ‘The Face of Festival TV’.

“We’re looking for a talented, arts-loving host to go behind-the-scenes at the 2014 Festival’s opening weekend (21-23 February) to interview artists and audiences, and share that first weekend Festival buzz with YouTube viewers,” says the Festival’s Artistic Director Shelagh Magadza.

Just before the Festival the selected host will be flown to Auckland to tour the TV3 studios and meet with 3 News Entertainment Editor Kate Rodger who will share her interviewing tips. The Festival will host the winning applicant across 21-23 February in Wellington where they will be given tickets to all opening weekend shows and conduct interviews for Festival TV.

If you think you have what it takes to be the Face of Festival TV, please provide your name, e-mail address, age* and a 100-character summary of why you should be chosen, on theFestival Facebook page by 13 January 2014.

The top 10 shortlisted applicants will be asked to create a 30 second video clip of an interview before one lucky winner is drawn on 4 February 2014 on the basis of Facebook “Likes”.
