Richter City Roller Derby 26th of July Comic Slams vs Brutal Pageant

Wellington roller derby champions to defend title

Richter City Roller Derby league’s 2012 and 2013 home season champions Comic Slams will take on the 2014 season opener winners Brutal Pageant on Saturday 26 July.

Comic Slams will debut an all-new team lineup in the second bout of the home season round robin, following Brutal Pageant’s victory over Smash Malice by a slim margin earlier this month.

With their first win since 2010 under their belts, a win for Brutal Pageant will secure a spot in the Richter home season final – but this is sure to be a hard-fought contest as Comic Slams vies to maintain their status as undefeated since 2011.

Several veteran skaters have swapped team strips this season while a whole new crop of rookies has joined the Richter ranks. Fans can check out the new line-ups at https://www.facebook.com/richtercity

With a more cosy and homegrown atmosphere than Richter’s former home TSB Arena, fans will have to get in quick for the limited number of seats available at new bouting venue Kilbirnie Rec Centre.

Doors 6pm, bout starts 7pm – tickets available at http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/2014/roller-derby-comic-slams-vs-brutal-pageant/wellington
