Tickets go on sale Monday 1/9/14

Tickets go on sale this MONDAY 1 SEPTEMBER at 9am for the NZ Festival of Tennis, via Ticketek

2015 is the second year of the NZ Festival of Tennis, which offers a celebration of tennis, and the great Kiwi Summer, anchored by two marquee events – the ASB Classic and the Heineken Open.

The festival kicks off on January 5, 2015 with the ASB Classic, welcoming a plethora of tennis talent from around the world. The Heineken Open begins on January 12, 2015, welcoming 2014 champion, John Isner (USA), who will be heading back to NZ shores this summer, to defend his title.

“The Heineken Open has been unreal for me. I have won it twice and always feel really comfortable there,” says defending champion, Isner.

Currently ranked world number 15, the American giant has had a solid year. After lifting his eighth ATP World Tour trophy at the Heineken Open in January, he went on to reach the Semi Finals of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Indian Wells, and the Quarter Finals at Wimbledon. The 29-year-old also reached top 10 in March, and will no doubt be pressing for a return at next week’s US Open.

Guests can expect everything they enjoyed in the inaugural year and more; the world’s best tennis players, dining out at Auckland’s favourite restaurants, and soaking up the sun and beats at the Heineken Baseline Live Site. SkyCity Catering is on board to deliver premium pop-up offerings from their restaurant stable including The Grill by Sean Connolly and some exciting new inclusions that will be announced in the coming weeks.
