Aces right in Super Smash mix

The Auckland Aces have made two changes to their squad for the Burger King Super Smash fixture against the Otago Volts at Eden Park Outer Oval tomorrow.

Michael Barry joins the squad with Colin de Grandhomme returning to the BLACKCAPS environment, while Teja Nidamanuru rejoins to add another spin option for captain Craig Cachopa.

The Aces are guaranteed second spot on the Super Smash ladder and could still finish top of the table if they win and the Knights lose against the Kings.

"We're happy to be in the position to have a crack at the title but at this stage we just want to take care of Sunday's game and then see how the rest of the competition washes up." says Auckland Aces Captain Craig Cachopa.

"We were excellent against the Kings. Our bowlers put plenty of pressure on their top order and the fielding unit was right on song."

Aces Coach Mark O'Donnell says the side have been training well at Eden Park.

"We have some of the best facilities in the county here in Auckland and the boys are tracking well," O'Donnell says.
