Project Runway New Zealand final designers sew ready for competition

The second and final group of Project Runway New Zealand designers can now be revealed!

Joining the previously announced contestants, this last batch includes a San Fran native, a Maori Lecturer from Napier whose designs have already been worn by Anika Moa and a chess FIDE Master title holder.

The remaining seven joining the competition are:

Beau Takapu, 37, Retail Senior Sales Assistant from Auckland

Benjamin Alexander, 23, Designer from Auckland

Camille Richard, 22, Handbag Designer from Auckland

Jess Hunter, 23, Retail Assistant from Auckland

Judy Gao, 24, Fashion Designer from Auckland

Matt Costello, 26, Nursery Worker from Nelson

Misty Ratima, 40, Maori Lecturer from Napier

Each of the 14 contestants all share the same passion – creating inspirational fashion garments. With different reasons for beginning their design career and facing numerous challenges along the way, it has all led them to this moment – competing in Project Runway.
