The countdown is on for the return of The Teskey Brothers

Solomon Crook, Jed Parsons and The Bads announced as supports

Aussie soul and blues band The Teskey Brothers will be joined by three ‘not to be missed’ local support acts on their upcoming New Zealand shows.

The Melbourne-based The Teskey Brothers will play San Fran in Wellington on Thursday, October 4 with Solomon Crook; Blue Smoke in Christchurch on Friday, October 5with Jed Parsons; Mercury Theatre in Auckland on Saturday, October 6 with The Bads.

The Teskey Brothers independently produced, recorded and released their debut album HALF MILE HARVEST in 2017 to critical acclaim. Ever since, their unique blend of raw soul and blues has been catching the attention of music lovers around the globe.

And New Zealand is no exception, with Kiwis falling in love with the quartet after several recent trips here, including their sold out headline tour earlier this year.

Now, the siblings - Sam and Josh Teskey - and their friends Brendon Love and Liam Gough, are returning to celebrate the release of their new single ‘I Get Up’ giving New Zealanders the chance to be among the first in the world to hear their new music.

With a reputation for putting on a live show that simply cannot be missed, it’s fitting that The Teskey Brothers should be supported by some of the finest live talent New Zealand has to offer.

In Wellington, singer-songwriter Solomon Crook will join the band. Hailing from the Coromandel but now living in Wellington, Crook released his six-track EP ABANDON ADOLESCENCE this year. It included the catchy lead single ‘Love Juice’.

Indie-pop artist Jed Parsons is supporting in his hometown of Christchurch. Parsons burst onto the Kiwi music scene earlier this year with the singles ‘Get Lost’ and ‘Everybody’s Stupid’ before releasing his debut album MIDNIGHTFEAST, which included the dreamy hit ‘She’s OK’.

In Auckland, The Bads will kick off the show. With a string of critically acclaimed albums to their name The Bads are one of New Zealand’s most loved indie-folk acts. Their fourth, and most recent record, 2017’s LOSING HEROES debuted in the charts at #4 and saw them nominated at this year’s prestigious Taite Music Prize.

It makes for three shows of the best Australasian talent around. Don’t miss The Teskey Brothers with Kiwi supports this October.
