Devonstock

Devonstock returns to the beautiful Windsor Reserve once again this December. Now passing it's 10th year, the yearly festival is showcasing some of the most exciting emerging talent Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer.

Curated and organised by the Devonport Youth Forum, an enthusiastic and inspired group of high school students, Devonstock 2018 promises to be a dynamic showcase of music and creativity.

SKILAA burst out onto the Auckland music scene early in 2018. In the past 6 months they have garnered praise from all over Aotearoa for their astounding vocal harmonies and incredibly polished live show. Expect good beats with a healthy dose of neo soul, hip-hop, alternative folk and improvisation.

Steam rolled micro funk, all wrapped up into a tidy 6 piece band. Munkhouse are one of the most invigorating live groups in Auckland right now. With a commanding stage presence and courageous sense of adventure, Munkhouse are ready to get groovy on any stage, any time of day.

Daffodils haven't been around for long but their impact on the New Zealand music scene has been impressive to say the least. Racking up over 200k plays on spotify, selling out venues across Auckland and supporting the likes of NZ heavyweights The Beths and Soaked Oats. Daffodil's endearing pop/punk tunes are both parts nostalgic and reminiscent of something uniquely kiwi.

Having been awarded both best song and best solo act at this year's Smokefree Rockquest, Gretel is no stranger to the big stage. Her charming stage presence and elegant production create a performance that is fresh yet developed. Devonstock will see her performing one of her first shows with a full backing band.

Local up and comers Masonic Silk will kick things off with their psychedelic, surf rock infused tracks early in the day. Calling Devonport home for the past few years, they'll be sure to bring their A-game for a hometown crowd.

Originally hailing from Devon, England, Devonstock is but a hop skip and a jump for Ben Glandfield. Combining tender acoustic covers with original songs, Ben's skills with a guitar and a loop pedal far excel his years. With a strong output of live videos and performances this year, Ben Glandfield is an upcoming performer to watch out for.
