Samoa Aukilani name squad to face Auckland


The Samoa Aukilani (Auckland) squad to take on the Auckland premier team over Queen’s Birthday Weekend has been named.

Seven Auckland clubs are represented in the squad, which includes 2018 Auckland representatives Simon Luafalealo, Jordan Tuarae, Daniel Reuelu-Buchanan, Matti Tuitama, Chris Sio and Reece Charlie.

Samoa Aukilani also boast a number of players from last season's SAS Fox Memorial Premiership Team of the Year, alongside reigning New Zealand Domestic Premier Player of the Year Francis Leger.

The side is coached by Pt Chevalier's Arden McCarthy and assisted by Glenora’s Graham Sua Poe.

The June 1 match will be played at Bert Henham Park with free entry for fans, and will also be streamed live and free on aucklandleague.co.nz.
