ATSA Women in Action (AWA)

Aotearoa Tertiary Students Association (ATSA) gears up for a busy weekend.
Two advisory groups representing the interest of students in tertiary education will be meeting this weekend.

ATSA Women in Action (AWA)

ATSA Women in Action (AWA) will be holding their third annual meeting for 2003 in Rotorua this weekend.

AWA will be discussing issues relating to the provision of childcare, health and counselling and safety on campus.

AWA’s main roles are to promote, network, and support ATSA women in achieving their education, through the identification of issues and the provision of representation support and information on a national level.

AWA hold four meetings per year as well as running workshops at the two ATSA National conferences.
Te Roopu Tautoko

Te Roopu Tautoko are also holding their second meeting for 2003 in Wellington this weekend.

Issues on the Te Roopu Tautoko agenda include, Mâori representation and leadership, reviewing the strategic direction for the Roopu and ensuring Mâori student support services are comprehensive and available.

Te Roopu Tautoko mission is to promote and serve the needs of Mâori tertiary students of Aotearoa by providing a national communications network and to provide representation for Mâori at all levels on issues pertaining to Tikanga Mâori.

Te Roopu Tautoko meet four times a year, as well as meeting at the two ATSA national conferences.
