More Discounts For UCOL Students
The ‘Association of Students at UCOL’ (AS@U) in partnership with ‘Student-Card’ is pleased to be able to offer to UCOL students a new student discount card, providing more opportunities locally and nationally.
AS@U President, Damian Peeti was happy to endorse the concept, for the opportunities it created for students whom wanted to make savings and whom enjoyed traveling during the year from campus to campus and beyond.
“Given the UCOL student population is very diverse in demographics with UCOL campuses geographically situated over four regions, it only seemed natural for us to participate”, said Mr Peeti.
‘Student-Card’ has been operating in New Zealand since 2002 with coverage in most major centers. ‘Student-Card’ was created with one simple goal, to give students a better deal and to make it cheaper to live as a student. The difference with ‘Student-Card’ in comparison to other discount cards is the card is focused on students providing them with bigger deals on big brands national wide. ‘Student-Card’ clients this year include Burger King, Pizza Hut, Star Bucks, Jeans West, Video Ezy, Taxi’s depending on what city you are situated, Ihug, Warehouse Stationary, the BNZ as part of their Tertiary pack and many more.
“I think it’s quite an exciting opportunity for our students to have access to a discount card that can be used outside the region, complementing the local student cards that currently exists in the city” said Mr Peeti, “ as we equally support the ‘Student City Discount Card’ being establish by Duncan McCann, Student City Coordinator, which is centralised in Palmerston North”.
