Website First For PRT's

Website First For PRT's

A new website totally dedicated to helping PRT’s in New Zealand complete and enjoy their vital first year in teaching launched on 15th May 2008.  Click4prt.co.nz is the brainchild of MJM Education Ltd. based in the UK and follows on from the success of a sister website, click4nqt which already has over 1000 registered UK users since its launch in January 2008.

Michael McVerry, a qualified teacher and now Managing Director of MJM Education explained, “I’m   delighted with the very positive feedback we’ve received from partner schools involved with designing the new interactive web-site and our team of skilled, educational professionals will help to ensure that the new web-site is packed full of advice and resources to help smooth the way for PRT’s during their first 12 months in post.”

Key features of the website include:  Ask The Experts section for unbiased advice on thorny issues that recently qualified teachers regularly encounter, a resources section where useful resources can be downloaded and uploaded free of charge, a training events page for PRT’s to rate recently attended training courses fast-tracking others to the best events in the country, a popular chat room where PRT’s can share their new teaching experiences in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, a forum to address day to day issues that can and do arise and a personal profiles section providing excellent networking opportunities for recently qualified teachers in both the UK and New Zealand.

Michael McVerry, thinks the regular Ask the Experts  feature is going to be a real winner “we’ve already received some very relevant questions and been able to provide some 5 star advice; there’s nothing else like this available in the UK or New Zealand.”

Membership is growing by the week and the company is optimistic that both websites will snowball to become the best resource available for recently qualified teachers.  There is a fixed annual fee of $99 per PRT or $249 per school (with 3 or more PRTs) and registration can be completed online at www.click4prt.co.nz or by calling 00 44 8450 17 10 72 (76).
