UK school welcomes John Key’s business

UK business school welcomes John Key’s business scholarships

Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom welcomes the recent announcement from Prime Minister John Key that the Government is launching a $1 million scholarship scheme for New Zealanders to apply to study at an internationally recognised business school.

Cranfield has supported business education for young New Zealanders for many years through the New Zealand Alumni Scholarship awarded annually to a New Zealander to embark on the full-time Cranfield MBA. Cranfield also recently launched the Cranfield MBA Māori Scholarship for outstanding New Zealand Māori to undertake the MBA programme. The first Māori student is on this year’s course.

Director of the full-time Cranfield MBA programme, Sean Rickard, commented: “We welcome the Prime Minister’s initiative. Business education for young New Zealanders can help raise New Zealand’s international competitiveness”.

“For many years Cranfield has been a favourite destination for New Zealanders and this year we have seven New Zealanders on the programme. We find that New Zealanders make an outstanding contribution to our course. We encourage young New Zealanders to apply for the Prime Minister’s business scholarships and to consider the Cranfield MBA as their course of study”.
