Finalists for Māori Language Awards Announced

Kua Pānuitia Ngā Whiriwhiri Whakamutunga Mō Ngā Tohu Reo Māori

Ka pānuitia e Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori ngā whiriwhiri whakamutunga mō ngā Tohu Reo Māori 2012 i runga o Marae Investigates ā te Rātapu nei. E 30 tēnei hunga, i ngā kōwae 15.

‘Ngā mihi tino nui, kia kaha hoki koutou, e ngā whiriwhiri whakamutunga’ te kī a te Tumuaki a Glenis Philip-Barbara.

‘Nā tō rātou kaha, nā tō rātou māia hoki ki te tautoko i te kaupapa o te reo Māori, kua whakaahuatia ngā wawata mō Aotearoa whānui.’

‘Mā rātou anō e āwhina mai te reo ā ngā rā e tū mai nei, e tupu ai te reo Māori ki tōna tino teitei, hei reo kōrero whakawhitiwhiti whakaaro mō ngā āhuatanga katoa, ia rā, ia rā.’

Finalists For Māori Language Awards Announced

Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori is announcing the finalists for the Māori Language Awards 2012 on Marae Investigates this Sunday. There are 30 finalists in 15 categories.

‘Congratulations and good luck to all finalists’ says CE Glenis Philip-Barbara.

‘Their active support for the Māori language is a powerful demonstration of what is needed all over Aotearoa.’

‘With their help, te reo Māori will continue to grow and eventually flourish as an ordinary language of communication.’

Note that some entrants are finalists in more than one category.
