Multi lingual ‘ready for school’ programme about to begin

Media Release

Multi lingual ‘ready for school’ programme about to begin at Kids Planet Albany

A brand new languages, music and a technology curriculum will be launched for North Shore Preschoolers as part of the Kids Planet Childcare ‘ready for school programme.’

Over recent months, parents have talked to us about helping the next generation increase their confidence, have greater cultural awareness, have an appreciation of the past and ensuring they are prepared for whatever the future may hold.” Says Centre Manager Marlene Best.

At Kids Planet we listened – launching in late July is a term based education program delivering the best in languages, culture and music with a technology focus. Limited to 10 children aged 4 years, children at Kids Planet participate in 4 x 10 week blocks throughout the calendar year. In partnership with LCF which has over 25 years experience teaching languages and music to preschoolers, Kids Planet is excited to offer this experience right here in Albany on the North Shore.

“Research has shown that before age six, children have a willingness and ability to learn another language. Exposure to a foreign language in the earliest years has been shown to raise their IQ. These children perform at a high level cognitively and better overall in a wide range of other subjects.” Says Marlene

“As a parent myself I want to give kids the best head start in life and that is why we have teamed up with LCF to launch this exciting new preschool program.” Says Marlene

“Children will learn Mandarin and either Spanish or French, as well as gain an appreciation of music from a past, present and future perspective. Combined with a highly practical component and using tablets, this specialist program is due to launch in July this year.”
