The Rise UP Academy

New Partnership school in South Auckland

The Rise UP Trust are pleased to announce The Rise UP Academy, Junior School will open in February 2014 for fifty students from years 1-6.

The Rise UP approach will include effective governance, excellent teachers of inquiry learning and culturally responsive whanau engagement. Rise UP Trust will work in partnership with local community organisations to strengthen whanau engagement and provide specialist Arts, Sports and Culture and Heritage pro-grammes.

Rise UP Trust’s ‘Building Learning Communities’ project began in 2006. Since then we have worked with over 185 whanau across South Auckland to support them in setting their children up for success in learning at school. The project has been funded as part of the ASB Community Trust’s Maori & Pasifika Education Initiative since 2009. The aim has been to develop innovative ways to improve educational achievement for Maori and Pasifika learners.

The Rise UP Academy will see committed parents, passionate teachers and community leaders navigate successful learning pathways for their children.
