Grad Fest 2013 - celebrating the brightest, boldest and most exciting talent

Unitec is throwing open its doors to bring you the brightest, boldest and most exciting student work from the Faculty of Creative Industries and Business. From acting to architecture, computing to communications, management to marketing, Grad Fest 2013 is the culmination of many hours of dedication, practice and passion.

Grad Fest opens today with an evening performance of 'Balm in Gilead' by year three acting students from the Department of Performing and Screen Arts at the Unitec Theatre.

In addition to performance, Grad Fest will include inspirational and diverse exhibitions from a range of study disciplines, as well as departmental showcases and prizegivings to honour exceptional student work.

Faculty of Creative Industries and Business Deputy Executive Dean, Athina Tsoulis, says Grad Fest is an annual celebration of the year's work from the brightest new stars within the community.

"There is an astounding array of talent throughout the eight departments within the Faculty of Creative Industries and Business. Grad Fest gives our students the opportunity to showcase their best work and share their achievements and successes from the year with family, friends, industry, and the wider community. I encourage you to come and join us in our celebration."

The Departments of Architecture, Design and Visual Arts, and Landscape Architecture, will hold an exhibition of the best student work. Exhibition Opening Night is on 28 November from 5.30pm, and the exhibition is open to the public daily from 9.30am - 4.00pm until 5 December.

The Communication Studies department will host its annual awards and networking event the following evening.
